What this calculator will compute

Inputs: drink volume (mL), ABV (%) and country standard.

Outputs: grams of ethanol, units or standard drinks and percentage of the national weekly guideline.

Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Grams of ethanol = volume_mL * ABV% / 100 * 0.789 g/mL. The unit definition then differs by country: a United Kingdom unit is 8 g (10 mL) of ethanol, a United States standard drink is 14 g, Australia is 10 g, Germany uses 10 to 12 g depending on the source.
