Aminoglycoside Dosing: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers drug, weight (kg and descriptor) and creatinine clearance. Stub page. Not published yet.
Aminoglycoside Dosing Calculator is a planned calculator in the health section of Super Calculator, covering clinical dosing and scores.
What this calculator will compute
Inputs: drug, weight (kg and descriptor), creatinine clearance, target peak and trough and levels drawn.
Outputs: dose (mg), interval (h), predicted peak and trough and half-life.
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Extended-interval or traditional dosing using one-compartment kinetics: dose from a target peak and volume of distribution, typically 0.25 to 0.3 L/kg, with the interval from the elimination rate constant derived from creatinine clearance. Extended-interval regimens are commonly assessed against the Hartford nomogram.
