Anion Gap Calculator
Anion Gap: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers sodium (mmol/L) and chloride (mmol/L). Stub page while the tool and its worked example are prepared.
Anion Gap Calculator is a planned calculator in the health section of Super Calculator, covering clinical dosing and scores.
What this calculator will compute
Inputs: sodium (mmol/L), chloride (mmol/L), bicarbonate (mmol/L), potassium (mmol/L) and albumin (g/dL).
Outputs: anion gap, albumin-corrected anion gap and delta ratio.
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Anion gap = sodium - (chloride + bicarbonate), with an optional potassium-inclusive form. Albumin correction adds 2.5 * (4.0 - albumin in g/dL). The delta ratio compares the excess anion gap to the bicarbonate deficit.
