Outputs: annual income (currency), payback period (years), crossover year against a level annuity and implied return at life expectancy (%).
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Income equals the purchase price divided by an annuity factor derived from mortality and the discount rate, adjusted for guarantee periods, joint life continuation and indexation. Indexed annuities start materially lower than level ones and cross over after a period that depends on the inflation assumption.
