Bayes Theorem Calculator
Bayes Theorem: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers prior probability. Stub page: the tool, its formula and a worked example are not published yet.
Bayes Theorem Calculator is a planned calculator in the mathematics section of Super Calculator, covering statistics and probability.
What this calculator will compute
Inputs: prior probability, sensitivity (%), specificity (%) and test result (positive or negative).
Outputs: posterior probability, positive and negative predictive value, likelihood ratios and natural frequency table.
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: P(A|B) = P(B|A) P(A) / P(B), with P(B) = P(B|A)P(A) + P(B|not A)P(not A). In diagnostic terms, posterior odds equal prior odds multiplied by the likelihood ratio sensitivity/(1 - specificity).
