Binomial Theorem Expansion Calculator
Binomial Theorem Expansion: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers terms a and b. Stub page: the tool, its formula and a worked example are not published yet.
Binomial Theorem Expansion Calculator is a planned calculator in the mathematics section of Super Calculator, covering algebra and number theory.
What this calculator will compute
Inputs: terms a and b, exponent n and specific term index (optional).
Outputs: expanded expression, coefficient list, specific term, Pascal triangle row and convergence condition.
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: (a + b)^n = sum over k of C(n, k) a^(n-k) b^k. For non-integer or negative n the expansion becomes an infinite series convergent for |b/a| below one. The general term and a specified coefficient can be extracted without expanding fully.
