Inventory Turnover Calculator

Inventory Turnover: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers cost of goods sold (currency). Stub page while the tool and its worked example are prepared.

Inventory Turnover Calculator is a planned calculator in the business section of Super Calculator, covering inventory and operations.

What this calculator will compute

Inputs: cost of goods sold (currency), beginning and ending inventory (currency) and period.

Outputs: turnover ratio (x), days inventory outstanding and inventory holding cost.

Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Inventory turnover = cost of goods sold / average inventory at cost. Days inventory outstanding = 365 / turnover. Using revenue rather than COGS in the numerator inflates turnover by the gross margin factor and is a common error.
