Biweekly Mortgage Payment Calculator
Biweekly Mortgage Payment: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers loan amount (currency). Stub page while the tool and its worked example are prepared.
Biweekly Mortgage Payment Calculator is a planned calculator in the real estate section of Super Calculator, covering amortization and payoff.
What this calculator will compute
Inputs: loan amount (currency), rate (%), term (years), start date and servicer applies biweekly (yes or no).
Outputs: payoff date, years saved, interest saved (currency) and equivalent extra monthly payment (currency).
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Half the monthly payment made every 14 days produces 26 half payments, equal to 13 monthly payments per year. The saving comes almost entirely from the extra annual payment, not from the accelerated accrual; splitting the same 12 payments into 24 semimonthly halves saves almost nothing.
