Canada Income Tax Calculator

Canada Income Tax: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers employment income (CAD). Stub page: the tool, its formula and a worked example are not published yet.

Canada Income Tax Calculator is a planned calculator in the tax section of Super Calculator, covering income tax.

What this calculator will compute

Inputs: employment income (CAD), province, RRSP contribution (CAD), dividends eligible and other (CAD) and capital gains (CAD).

Outputs: federal tax (CAD), provincial tax (CAD), CPP and EI (CAD), after tax income (CAD) and marginal rate by income type (%).

Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Federal progressive bands plus a separate provincial or territorial band schedule, with non refundable credits applied at the lowest bracket rate rather than as deductions. Quebec administers its own income tax and uses a federal abatement, so it is not a simple additional layer.
