Circle Equation Calculator

Circle Equation: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers center and radius. Stub page: the tool, its formula and a worked example are not published yet.

Circle Equation Calculator is a planned calculator in the mathematics section of Super Calculator, covering coordinate geometry.

What this calculator will compute

Inputs: center and radius, or general form coefficients and or three points on the circle.

Outputs: standard form, general form, center, radius, area, circumference and degenerate case warning.

Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Standard form (x-h)^2 + (y-k)^2 = r^2 with center (h, k). General form x^2 + y^2 + Dx + Ey + F = 0 converts by completing the square, giving center (-D/2, -E/2) and r^2 = (D^2 + E^2)/4 - F. A negative right side describes no real circle.
