Coffee Brew Ratio Calculator
Coffee Brew Ratio: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers coffee mass (g) or water mass (g). Stub page while the tool and its worked example are prepared.
Coffee Brew Ratio Calculator is a planned calculator in the food and drink section of Super Calculator, covering food and drink.
What this calculator will compute
Inputs: coffee mass (g) or water mass (g), ratio (n:1), brew method (label) and absorption factor (g/g).
Outputs: coffee dose (g), water (g or ml), expected beverage yield (g) and extraction guidance (%).
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Brew ratio expresses water mass to coffee mass, commonly between 15:1 and 17:1 for filter brewing. Beverage mass is below water mass because grounds retain roughly two grams of water per gram of coffee, so yield calculations must subtract absorbed water.
