What this calculator will compute
Inputs: principal (currency), annual nominal rate (%), compounding frequency (n/yr), term (years), periodic contribution (currency) and contribution timing (start/end).
Outputs: future value (currency), total contributions (currency), total interest earned (currency) and year by year balance table.
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Future value under discrete compounding, FV = P(1 + r/n)^(nt), extended with a periodic contribution annuity term FV_contrib = PMT * (((1 + r/n)^(nt) - 1) / (r/n)) and multiplied by (1 + r/n) when contributions are made at the start of each period.
