Economic Order Quantity Calculator
Economic Order Quantity: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers annual demand (units), order cost (currency) and holding cost per unit per year (currency).
Economic Order Quantity Calculator is a planned calculator in the business section of Super Calculator, covering inventory and operations.
What this calculator will compute
Inputs: annual demand (units), order cost (currency), holding cost per unit per year (currency) and unit cost.
Outputs: EOQ (units), orders per year, total inventory cost (currency) and cost curve.
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: EOQ = sqrt(2DS/H) where D is annual demand, S is cost per order and H is annual holding cost per unit, from the Wilson lot size model. Total cost at EOQ = sqrt(2DSH), and the cost curve is flat near the optimum so moderate deviations cost little.
