Inputs: current shares, new investment (currency), pre money valuation (currency), option pool target (%), pool timing and convertible instruments with cap and discount.
Outputs: post money ownership (%), dilution (%), effective price per share (currency) and cap table after round.
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Post money ownership equals pre money shares divided by post money shares including the new round and any option pool expansion, where a pool created pre money dilutes existing holders rather than the incoming investor. Convertible notes and simple agreements convert at a discount or cap and dilute at conversion.
