Factorial Calculator

Factorial: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers n and exact or approximate mode. Stub page: the tool, its formula and a worked example are not published yet.

Factorial Calculator is a planned calculator in the mathematics section of Super Calculator, covering algebra and number theory.

What this calculator will compute

Inputs: n, exact or approximate mode and double factorial toggle.

Outputs: exact factorial, digit count, scientific notation approximation, gamma function value and Stirling approximation.

Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: n! = product of integers 1 to n, with 0! = 1 by the empty product convention. Extended to non-integers by the gamma function, where n! = Gamma(n+1). Stirling’s approximation n! approximately sqrt(2 pi n)(n/e)^n for magnitude estimates.
