Outputs: converted value (n), equivalent in all units (table) and fuel saved per 100 units distance (l).
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Miles per gallon and liters per 100 kilometers are reciprocally related, not linearly: l/100km equals 235.215 divided by US mpg, or 282.481 divided by imperial mpg. Kilometers per liter and miles per liter are further variants. Because the relation is reciprocal, an equal mpg improvement saves very different amounts of fuel at different starting points.
