What this calculator will compute
Inputs: present value (currency), rate per period (%), number of periods and payment per period (currency).
Outputs: future value (currency).
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: FV = PV(1 + i)^n for a lump sum, where i is the per period rate and n the number of periods. The distinction from the compound interest page is that the rate is entered per period rather than per year, which is the form used in finance coursework and in spreadsheet FV.
