Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Glicko adds a rating deviation representing uncertainty, which increases with inactivity and shrinks with play; the rating update is weighted by the g function of the opponent deviation. Glicko-2 adds a volatility parameter updated by an iterative solver, which has no closed form.
