What this calculator will compute
Inputs: course grades (letter or %), credit hours per course (n), scale (4.0/4.3/5.0 weighted) and prior GPA and credits (n).
Outputs: semester GPA (n), cumulative GPA (n), quality points (n) and credits (n).
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Grade point average equals the sum of grade points times credit hours, divided by total credit hours. The grade-to-point mapping is institution specific, the 4.0 unweighted scale and the 5.0 weighted scale coexist in US high schools, and non-US systems do not map cleanly onto either.
