Independent Samples T Test Calculator
Independent Samples T Test: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers mean and standard deviation and n for each group and alpha. Stub page. Not published yet.
Independent Samples T Test Calculator is a planned calculator in the mathematics section of Super Calculator, covering statistics and probability.
What this calculator will compute
Inputs: mean and standard deviation and n for each group, alpha, tail selection and equal variance assumption.
Outputs: t statistic, df, p value, mean difference, confidence interval for the difference and Cohen’s d.
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Pooled variance form: t = (xbar1 - xbar2) / (sp * sqrt(1/n1 + 1/n2)) with sp^2 = ((n1-1)s1^2 + (n2-1)s2^2) / (n1+n2-2) and df = n1+n2-2. Assumes equal variances; otherwise use the Welch form.
