Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Daily volume from an energy requirement of roughly 100 to 120 kcal/kg/day in early infancy divided by the caloric density of the feed, commonly 20 kcal per fluid ounce or 67 kcal per 100 mL, then divided by feeds per day.
