Outputs: annual saving (currency), payback (yr), annual energy saved (kWh) and CO2 saved (kg).
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Annual saving equals area times the difference in U value times degree day hours divided by system efficiency, times the fuel price. R value and U value are reciprocals in consistent units, and the US R value in hour times square foot times degrees Fahrenheit per BTU is not numerically comparable to the metric R value.
