Kendall Tau Correlation Calculator

Kendall Tau Correlation: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers paired ordinal data columns. Stub page while the tool and its worked example are prepared.

Kendall Tau Correlation Calculator is a planned calculator in the mathematics section of Super Calculator, covering statistics and probability.

What this calculator will compute

Inputs: paired ordinal data columns, tau variant (a, b, c) and alpha.

Outputs: Kendall tau, z statistic, p value and concordant and discordant pair counts.

Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: tau-a = (C - D) / (n(n-1)/2) where C and D count concordant and discordant pairs. tau-b corrects for ties: (C - D) / sqrt((n0 - n1)(n0 - n2)). Significance from the normal approximation of the tau sampling distribution.
