Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: For paired binary outcomes, chi-square = (|b - c| - 1)^2 / (b + c) with df = 1, where b and c are the discordant cell counts. When b + c is small, use the exact binomial test with p = 0.5.
