Mortgage Affordability Calculator (Switzerland) is a planned calculator in the real estate section of Super Calculator, covering country mortgage regimes.
What this calculator will compute
Inputs: property price (CHF), equity (CHF), gross income (CHF), imputed rate (%), maintenance rate (%) and amortization requirement.
Outputs: imputed housing cost (CHF), affordability ratio (%), maximum property price (CHF) and equity required (CHF).
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Swiss affordability tests total housing costs against a third of gross income, where housing costs are computed at an imputed interest rate well above market, conventionally 5%, plus maintenance and ancillary costs at a conventional 1% of property value, plus amortization of the second mortgage tranche.
