National Insurance Contributions Calculator
National Insurance Contributions: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers earnings (GBP). Stub page while the tool and its worked example are prepared.
National Insurance Contributions Calculator is a planned calculator in the tax section of Super Calculator, covering income tax.
What this calculator will compute
Inputs: earnings (GBP), pay frequency, employment type, director flag and self employed profit (GBP).
Outputs: employee NI (GBP), employer NI (GBP), Class 2 and Class 4 (GBP) and annual total (GBP).
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Class 1 employee contributions on earnings between the primary threshold and the upper earnings limit at the main rate, then a lower rate above, computed per pay period rather than annually for employees, which is why a bonus month overpays. Class 2 and Class 4 apply to the self employed on an annual basis.
