What this calculator will compute
Inputs: value, source base, target base, signed representation, bit width and fractional precision.
Outputs: converted value, binary, octal, decimal, hexadecimal, two’s complement form and conversion steps.
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Convert between arbitrary bases 2 to 36 by repeated division for the integer part and repeated multiplication for the fractional part. Two’s complement representation for signed binary of a fixed width. Fractional conversions may be non-terminating in the target base.
