Outputs: degree of operating leverage (x), projected operating income change (%) and break-even margin of safety.
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Degree of operating leverage = contribution margin / operating income, which predicts the percentage change in operating income for a 1% change in sales. High fixed cost structures produce high leverage in both directions.
