Polynomial Root Finder

Polynomial Root Finder: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers coefficient list in descending order. Stub page while the tool and its worked example are.

Polynomial Root Finder is a planned calculator in the mathematics section of Super Calculator, covering algebra and number theory.

What this calculator will compute

Inputs: coefficient list in descending order, precision and exact or numeric mode.

Outputs: all real and complex roots, multiplicities, factored form, rational roots and synthetic division table.

Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Roots of a degree n polynomial by eigenvalues of the companion matrix, or by the Durand-Kerner or Jenkins-Traub iteration. Rational root theorem provides exact candidates p/q where p divides the constant term and q the leading coefficient.
