Rent-To-Income Ratio Calculator

Rent-To-Income Ratio: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers monthly rent (currency) and gross monthly income (currency). Stub page. Not published yet.

Rent-To-Income Ratio Calculator is a planned calculator in the real estate section of Super Calculator, covering affordability and qualification.

What this calculator will compute

Inputs: monthly rent (currency), gross monthly income (currency) and other obligations (currency).

Outputs: rent-to-income ratio (%), required income for a target rent (currency) and maximum affordable rent (currency).

Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Ratio = monthly rent / gross monthly income. Landlord screening commonly inverts it as an income multiple of monthly rent. Neither threshold is a legal rule, and rent-burden statistics are conventionally defined at 30% of income.
