Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: a^2 + b^2 = c^2 with c the hypotenuse. Angles from the inverse trigonometric ratios: A = atan(a/b). Area = ab/2. Special ratios hold for the 3-4-5, 5-12-13, 30-60-90 and 45-45-90 triangles.
