Rotational Motion Calculator

Rotational Motion: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers any three of initial and final angular velocity and angular acceleration. Stub page. Not published.

Rotational Motion Calculator is a planned calculator in the science section of Super Calculator, covering physics: mechanics.

What this calculator will compute

Inputs: any three of initial and final angular velocity, angular acceleration, angle and time, radius and rpm or rad/s.

Outputs: remaining angular quantities, revolutions completed, tangential velocity and acceleration and conversion between rpm and rad/s.

Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Angular analogues of the linear equations: omega = omega0 + alpha t, theta = omega0 t + (1/2) alpha t^2, omega^2 = omega0^2 + 2 alpha theta. Linear and angular quantities relate as v = r omega and a_t = r alpha.
