Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Decomposes history into trend and seasonal index by period, seasonal index = average of (actual / centered moving average) for that period, then forecasts as trend * seasonal index. An additive decomposition is preferred where seasonal amplitude does not scale with the level.
