Slope And Line Equation Calculator
Slope And Line Equation: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers two points. Stub page: the tool, its formula and a worked example are not published yet.
Slope And Line Equation Calculator is a planned calculator in the mathematics section of Super Calculator, covering coordinate geometry.
What this calculator will compute
Inputs: two points, or one point and slope, or an equation and target form.
Outputs: slope, y-intercept, x-intercept, all three equation forms, angle of inclination, parallel and perpendicular slopes and grade (%).
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Slope m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1), undefined for a vertical line. Point-slope form y - y1 = m(x - x1) converts to slope-intercept y = mx + b and to general form Ax + By + C = 0. Parallel lines share m; perpendicular slopes multiply to minus one.
