What this calculator will compute
Inputs: ground snow load or location, roof slope, exposure, thermal condition, risk category, obstructions and adjacent roofs and code.
Outputs: design snow load, balanced and unbalanced cases, drift height and surcharge, sliding snow load and rain on snow surcharge.
Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: ASCE 7 flat roof snow load pf = 0.7 Ce Ct Is pg, with a slope factor Cs for pitched roofs and drift surcharges at obstructions. Eurocode 1 Part 1-3 uses s = mu_i Ce Ct sk with the characteristic ground load sk from the national annex.
