Spearman Rank Correlation Calculator

Spearman Rank Correlation: a planned Super Calculator tool. Covers paired x and y data columns. Stub page while the tool and its worked example are prepared.

Spearman Rank Correlation Calculator is a planned calculator in the mathematics section of Super Calculator, covering statistics and probability.

What this calculator will compute

Inputs: paired x and y data columns, alpha and tie handling.

Outputs: Spearman rho, p value, ranked data table and confidence interval.

Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Rank both variables and apply the Pearson formula to the ranks. With no ties, rho = 1 - 6 * sum(d_i^2) / (n(n^2-1)). With ties the shortcut is invalid and the Pearson-on-ranks form must be used.
