Formula, recorded as scope and not yet verified against a primary source: Required gain to recover equals 1/(1-d) - 1, and the number of winning trades needed follows from the per trade risk and reward. Compounding at a fixed fractional risk lengthens recovery relative to fixed lot sizing.
